He doesn't correct Proko on the Marine thing. He wants it and he's wanted it since he applied to the academy, and he knows, if it doesn't work out, that he'll go for something else. It's something like a mantra to have Proko wish it into the world like that though.
"I should be five minutes, tops. Are you gonna have coffee for me? I might hit the deck on the spot. I might do things unmentionable to you while I'm in uniform, even before I drank the coffee."
